DU Album of the Day: Cake - "Fashion Nugget"

I just LOVE this album and therefore it will be today's DU Album of the Day.

The first time I heard "Cake" was a few years back when I was watching videos on MTV (yeah it happened from time to time) and I saw this video of some guy singing "I Will Survive". But he wasn't really singing it but sorta doing a slow rap of it. That was the moment I fell in love with Cake.

This band has been around for decades, actually just over 20 years and I hope they stick around for awhile. They're playing at the festival coming up in July here in Dover, DE. One day I'll see them in concert!

Although, personally, I prefer the later albums, my favorite probably being "Comfort Eagle". The only song from "Fashion Nugget" (besides the obvious singles) that really sticks with me is "Perhaps, Perhaps, Perhaps".
