Denis Leary starred in the comedy-drama series Rescue Me (2004-2011), about firefighters, that ran on the FX network.
The action scenes were great, as were the comedy scenes when they weren't fighting fires.
The theme song, however, was a truly awful heavy metal song with some guy screaming unintelligible lyrics.

(23,812 posts)That one was soooooooooooooooooo disappointing.
And I agree - the song itself was a good melody, but it surely did not fit the show.

(14,270 posts)It was so anachronistic. It made me not want to watch (and should have been my first clue).

(4,443 posts)The theme is from Star Trek: Generations. I think it's a real shape it didn't get adapted to Enterprise; I think it's a wonderful theme.

(20,544 posts)they changed the music to something harsh sounding. It was awful.

That was a bad TV show theme song...(but I liked John Ritter & Don Knotts)

There are a few I do like.
Star Trek from NG to Voyager.
(No, I don't like the music from TOS and TAS, or Enterprise, except the 2-part "Mirror Universe" episode.)
The old HBO "stargate" music.
Hill street Blues.
Magnum PI.
Batman Beyond.
A few more.
