Why Doesn't Trump Drive His Super-Fast Golf Cart Everywhere?

"As we all know, the president is better than us. How could he not be? Look at his life. For one, he’s the freaking president of the United States, a massively popular leader who inspires the nation he expertly rules every day. And, of course, there’s his vast and unknowable wealth—it’s unknowable, but we do know that it’s vast—which has afforded him only the finest of things. You can see it in his bespoke suits, perfectly tailored to his body. You can see it in his magnificent homes, gilded rococo wonders that evoke Liberace’s burial sepulchre. The president simply lives better than the rest of us do.

So it should come as no surprise that, per a Page Six report today, the president, before he became the president, was known for driving around in “a golf cart that went twice as fast as everyone else’s,” according to a Page Six source. The reason was that the president always plays through on the golf course—skipping ahead of other people on the course—and so he needs something speedy to quickly travel from hole to hole.

Hence the golf cart that Page Six has deemed “supersonic,” though there is no evidence at this point that the golf cart could, in fact, break the sound barrier. Regardless, it is quite a sight to imagine. The president zooming around the greenery, twice as fast as the rest, mighty hair a’billow in the wind, crisp golfing shirt taut against his immortal frame. What a thing that must have been to see.

Now, Page Six—envious, of course, of the president’s superior existence—has to go and try to sully the whole thing, implying that it’s rude to play through, and addressing rumors that the president broke “the cardinal rule of golf” by driving a cart right onto the green at one of his clubs. But those are just the jealous snipings of people who have not yet given into the purest and most warming fact of the moment, that the president’s supreme lifestyle will eventually lift and ennoble us all. We just have to let him live it."
