place your attention about 4" below your navel and breathe in then breathe out. Repeat. Be natural, don't force anything and simply breathe in and breathe out. Thoughts will come and go, don't hold them or as Roshi Suzuki said, "Don't invite them in to tea." Breathe in and then breathe out. Count if you want, say in and out if you want or peace (as you breathe in) and calm (as you breathe out)
