West Side Story is wrapping up on TCM. Still good. Still Lenny.

I saw it (the movie) once or twice back when, then stayed away from it all these years. Heard the music much more. Just saw most of the movie and was leery that the dancing and stuff would be hokey. Nothing about it is hokey. But most of all, this is what makes it:

such a tragedy he died so soon after retiring from conducting. The music he would have composed late in life, would have been stupendous I think...
