(111,247 posts)and then just sort of fall over wherever they happened to be to sleep it off, usually in the most inconvenient spot in the house. They gave no indication of enjoying their drugs and got hissy when I'd move them to someplace safe to continue sleeping.
Once they woke up a few hours later, they were OK.
This looks so much like my sweet Kasey that passed two years ago. They are such loving babies.

I used to use an avatar of my car on anesthesia. His eyes were crossed and his neck was shaved. Unfortunately, that pic is long gone.

(205,237 posts)That happened once to my beloved cocker, Barney. He had minor surgery and I went to pick him up at the vet at the end of the day - 6pm. But it turned out the power had unexpectedly gone out so his surgery was delayed - and he was still pretty much under. I took him home and he conked right out on his bed - but when I left the room for just a minute and came right back - I found him, still asleep, in an entirely different spot!
