I must have a sign.
I did get a bowl of water, it's hot & my house cats have me trained.
Looks about 1~3 yrs old, fur looks clean, I do not need more cats.

The Vikings liked them and spread them all over, as they were welcome on their boats.
Seriously. Saw this on the "Lion in Your Livingroom" documentary on Netflicks.

(32,969 posts)A long drink then a sprawl out head down, eyes close rest. When I move the ears twitch & the eyes open, but she hasn't left yet.
My beauties are in the AC, sleeping somewhere.

(111,253 posts)I was four and he hated kids. However, he liked to be around me and would sit next to me while I was playing quietly out in the yard. I could pet him once in a while when he was really in the mood, but he didn't like being touched by kids. He did like the occasional quick hug and was a leaner on those occasions.
I've had a major soft spot for grumpy old ginger tomcats ever since.

(9,265 posts)My beloved late Freddie (my DU alias) was an oversized orange lump o'purr. We now have Charlie (gray) and Andy (tuxedo) and I promised DH that 2 cats at a time was it. But if an orange one appeared and needed a home...
Genetically your friend is most likely male.

I have never had a neighbors cat or a feral do that before. Weird.

(4,516 posts)when a cat comes up to your door, a relative has come to visit.
I came home from work one day to find a kitty I had never seen before curled up on the door mat. She made herself at home immediately. I went to listen to my phone messages and was told my aunt had died. I had already decided to keep the kitty, she fit right in with the other dogs and cats and since she was inside/outside, I let her out sometimes when I would leave. A week later I came home from my aunts funeral and she wasn't there. I never saw her again.
Thanks for that last visit Aunt Vera.

(10,279 posts)automatically assume protective duties. The orange cat was born feral and is now semi-feral. He comes inside for his morning feeding, and I keep him against his will to stay inside during the daytime so he is not tormented by fire ants. At 9 PM, he insists on going outside, where he spends the night patrolling my rural house's perimeter for rodents and snakes. Each morning, his victims' corpses are stretched out on the car porch for me to admire. In the early evening after supper, he gets in my lap for some strokes before going out for evening patrol. He's a hard working cat. I regret that I did not learn about the merits of orange tabby males until late in life. I was wrong in regarding them with low esteem and having no superior merits.
