A Friday chuckle

When he was just a lad, famed French painter Henri Toulouse-Lautrec was apprenticed to a master. It fell to Henri to stretch all of the canvasses on the frames so that the master could paint. But however hard he tried, he just couldn’t please his master.

"Tighter." the master would say. "I cannot paint on this."

So Henri would just try harder. One day, he tacked down one side of the canvas and vowed that this time it would be tight enough to satisfy his master.

With a mighty tug, Henri pulled. Red in the face, he pulled even harder.

Suddenly, the canvas tore, and Henri went flying backwards. His master peeked in to see what all the commotion was about, and observed...

"Too tight, Toulouse."
