My little "The Tide is Turning" story.

I'm headed home to Los Angeles with way too much time to do it, so I finally stopped for a long over due truck wash at the giant I-80 Truck Stop in Walcott Iowa.

As I worked my way up to the washbay, a couple of the workers were eyeballing both the mess (I hadn't washed my rig in 4 months), but also my Putin/Trump sticker.

For scale:

I saw one of them finger the bottom of the vinyl sticker, say something to his co-worker, and then they both laughed. As I told them what I wanted done I made sure to tell the guy to not blowoff my stickers, and he laughed and said yeah.

I pulled in and another guy, big, goateed, tatted up, you know the type, asked me if I wanted that (he pointed to the sticker in question) washed off, and I pointed to one of my military awards I have on my cab and asked him, " Do you see this one? I was operations intelligence in the Navy, and if I had a single Russian contact that I mislead my command about I would had have been stripped of my secret clearance, rank, and dishonorably discharged."

I then exited my truck to pay for my wash and as I was getting back into my truck the same guy said "Yeah your right, he's an idiot, what I should have asked you was where can I get one".
I told him..

home due to the fires?

I have 7 home made bumper stickers on my car. I have been doing making them since Oct. Strangers and neighbors think they were store bought since they look professionally reproduced (I was an illustrator) and I have given many away to friends. I have also made pins, key chains, earrings, etc and carry extras with me so I can give them to strangers who admire them. On Fri a stranger at the market actually took pictures of my "lock him up" earrings. Since I live in BLUE CA I have never felt afraid for my vehicle's or my safety. I do not want to get my car washed (even though it desperately needs it) not because I fear for my car's safety but because I would possible damage my stickers that are currently on it. Oh well, I have many more and can easily make new ones with new themes. As an artist I have almost too many ideas for stickers since 45 constantly makes so many new, dangerous issues prominent on so many levels to so many different people. I think I need a bigger car to display them all. RESIST! Peace.

And put a title on the front with something on it like "The Trump Years" or "Year" if we're lucky enough for him to leave before next January 20th.

Put all your stickers in it in the order you made them. That way you have the 2017 history in a binder. Something to show your friends, relatives and grandchildren.

I have a non curable illness (diagnosed last Sept...SEVERE pain and costly$$$$$). I am resisting now while I still can. I am glad I have no kids since the future looks pretty dismal (not just our fucked up country and citizens but also climate change, etc) so that is the silver lining. I make tons of calls and write letters to the CA State Govt. and the Fed Govt. (ALL of the senators and most of the congressman), attended 9 marches (so far), local meetings,... and I speak to anyone and everyone who is interested in our country's future. I have always been passionate about issues and I have never been silent. Even if I can't protest I CAN and I will call, call, CALL! At least I will know that I did my best and that will give me self respect and personal integrity all the way to my end. I just wish that I could see IT and ITS family and pals in jail for eternity and completely broke as well as their heirs and the GOP disappear in shame (and also bankrupt) before I die.

I make art for my own selfish needs (ha ha). I went to Parsons for Fashion Illustration then was told that the field was dead and switched to Gen Illustration and graduated and tried freelancing for years but found out that that was dead too and an artist is a dime a dozen so I went back to college and earned a second degree. I became a teacher but CA is broke as far as education goes and they do not have Art Teachers in San Diego public schools so I taught it as part of the regular elementary curriculum until I got sick and had to stop teaching altogether. I still do my own art and express myself that way. The fake prez has given artists and comedians a lot of ideas and my "conceptualization" as an illustrator goes into overdrive. My last Christmas card was of a fruitcake and the Grinch as a mathematical equation (Grinch+fruitcake=@realDonaldTrump). The inside was my drawing of the Grinch looking down at Whoville from Grinch Mountain but the Grinch had a Donald face and in the background was Trump Tower and his finger was on a big, red nuclear bomb button. I do not think anyone who got it realized how serious I was. If I sent the same card out again this year I suppose it would get a better response. I could post pictures of it, my bumper stickers, pins, earrings, etc but I am really tech retarded and do not know how to take a picture with my tablet and post it. I am surprised I figured out how to post on DU in fact. I just learned how to attach a photo from my Samsung Galaxy to my Gmail. Is that what you do to post a picture on DU?

and post them from "Gallery". Apparently a tablet makes normally simple stuff more difficult. I just learned how to attach them to a Gmail by someone who showed me how to do it. I am very, very visual and need to see it done and take a lot of notes too (my DU profile says that I am tech retarded and I wasn't kidding). I live alone with my little dog and she doesn't know how to do it or else she would show me how to). I need a tech tutor who has a lot of patience. I asked my mom for help a few years ago when I was desperate and would have to take several Xanax before I would ever make mistake again.

I have lost 3/4 of my pancreas and it is gone for good but not due to cancer (very complicated but there is nothing to get help to repair or replace it). I just do not want the severe pain more than anything. Expensive surgeries (to reduce the pain) are needed until I eventually die so I need the ACA or else my 83 year old parents and my sister and her family will also go broke paying for me. That sucks more than anything else really. I am cool with dying and my family supports my choice for assisted suicide when I no longer have quality of life. Everything is all set. Now I just have to get this ass out of the White House so I can rest in peace for my country's sake. That is my goal.

I've been working in the Caribbean for a couple of months so I haven't run into any of his supporters or past supporters.

A lot appear to have jumped his sinking ship of lies and ignorance. Hopefully, they'll abandon the party that propped him up.

Where can I get one. You're right about losing your clearance. I sat next to a Soviet consulate employee, on a flight from LAX to Hawaii, in 1969. I had to report it to Military Intelligence, or I would have lost my Secret clearance. While comrade Benedict donald, sells us all out to pootie.
