I think they're the only band that never played a song I didn't like.

Sounds just as good as it did back in the 70's.

When I think of "Steely Dan guitarist" I always think of Jeff "Skunk" Baxter.

When Walter Becker died, I started going through all the YouTube vids I could watch, and I could finally see that Becker was the anchor.

RIP Walter Becker.

When Prince passed I was living in Minnesota and his death made an impact on so many people I knew. They were clearly in grief and it just didn't seem to affect me. But Walter Becker's passing has hit me hard too.

Steely Dan was the soundtrack of my teen years and his musicianship has always connected with me on a deep, personal level. He was a part of my life - even though I never met him or saw him play live. His music and influence was always there in the background and I feel like I took it for granted. And now he is gone. You are not alone in feeling this way.

Can't believe Walter has been taken from us so soon.
Saw them most recently a few years ago, and it was such fun when he took his turn at the "Hey Nineteen" rap.
