I need some new expressions!

I use the same expressions here quite often. I know this because when I reply to a post, the "Reply title" has auto-type enabled. When I start typing "Exactly!" or "Agreed!" I see a list appear of the same and similar responses I used previously. It makes me think, "Jeez, do I have a limited vocabulary like Dolt 45?"

link should work...

Let’s get one thing clear right up front: Just randomly using big words so other people think you’re smart isn’t going to work. As a 2012 Princeton study found, it can have the opposite effect. But don’t let that discourage from actually broadening your vocabulary. Learning a new word here and there—and knowing how to use it effectively—doesn’t just make you appear more intelligent: It will actually make you more intelligent, for real. Recent studies have found a correlation between increasing your vocabulary as an adult and strengthening your brain.

It is the slideshow directly under the heading 30 Words That Will Make You Sound Smarter (But Not Pretentious)

The first photo in the slideshow is a bird's eye view of 4 people sitting at a wood surfaced table. There's a newspaper in the center of table, 2 of the people have tablets. Clicking the right arrow takes you through the 30 words with descriptions and examples.

A surge in use of synonym lookups.

Not by him, of course. He has "the best words."

I've been doing it a lot lately. Especially following some of the articles posted here about maggot's limited vocabulary, not to mention, the comments that follow.

"It makes me think, "Jeez, do I have a limited vocabulary like Dolt 45?"

Yup. And I wonder if fellow DUers notice that I'm too damn stupid to be posting here. Lol. But I'm really kind of serious.

Well said. Wonderfully stated. Feeling the same. Thought the same. Couldn't have said it better myself. I like this way of thinking. I agree with you. I concur. I resemble that remark. I'm down with that. I heard that. You got that. Same! Hip to that. I know right? That's what I'm saying. I second that. Sho nuf!

I knew a woman decades ago that used that phrase approximately every 45 seconds. It was funny the first day - not so much in the years that followed.
