Movies for grownups - Wind River

While everyone else is lining up for IT, I'd like to recommend Wind River. It's written and directed by Taylor Sheridan who also did Hell or High Water last year.

It's considerably more bloody than HOHW. It involves an investigation of the rape and murder of a young Native American woman on a reservation in snowy Wyoming. Some parts are difficult to watch, but overall I thought it was very very good. The only reason I liked HOHW better is because I love Jeff Bridges.

And if you want to see IT, buy your tickets in advance.

best role to date. I hope that the studio behind this film will try to get him nominated for an Oscar. I wouldn't mind going to see it again.

Movies like that are usually pretty bad since that means only hard-core fans have voted.

10K votes isn't bad at all and with a budget of $11 Million, it's already made about $22 Million.

Still. Love them both. Jeff Bridges almost feels like a friend at this point he has done so much for so long. When I was a little kid his dad's TV show Sea Hunt was my favorite show. Probably the reason I became a scuba diver. Yeah like a friend.
