Not a lounge lizard, but, I think this is the right place to ask about a tuxedo...

Baby blm just turned 17 - she wants to dress in a vintage tux for a Halloween party, but, I have been unable to find one. Think Marlene Dietrich. She has a gorgeous vintage tophat, will style her long hair ala Veronica Lake, but we can't find a tailed tux that would fit a woman's size 4-6.

Any leads?

Is it size 4 for real or vanity sized? I am not trying to be a jerk. If she is small like that then you could try the boys section at a Brooks Brothers or similar store. The vintage might be tough but you could probably find a boy tux with tails. If she has larger breasts that might not work unless she wants to wrap or a tight sports bra.

I would definitely look at the boys section. I bet you will find what you need. Good luck! I love the idea.

has a costume like that for $32. You can take it to a seamstress and have it taken in. It would be cheaper than renting.

I sold 2 white swallow tail tuxs to a costume shop 2 years ago. Shirts, cumberbunds, pants, cufflinks, ties, all the fancy go alongs with.

Dobbs Fifth Avenue New York - styled exclusively for Lewis and Thomas Saltz - the old DC goto for presidential wear. ; )

A lucky find.
