SNL Weekend Update just came up with how to solve the gun problem in the US!

Just convince Trump that the 2nd Amendment was Obama's idea. There would be NO guns in the US within a few days!

1. That should be the strategy for whoever is still sane on his staff.

It is sort of like reverse psychology. Such as, "Obama hated giving disaster relief immediately after a hurricane". Within 24 hours 45 would sign 6 emergency relief bills.

2. I thought the cold opening was brilliant,

with Jason Aldeen, solemn, professional, singing a Tom Petty song, "I Won't Back Down."

I bet he never thought in a million years that he would open SNL.

3. The Sandy Hook shooting was right before Christmas

so they had a boy choir from New York singing Silent Night, I think, as the cold opener. And was really touching.

4. I must have missed that one.

Christmas is a busy time here, and I was not watching SNL much during that time.

I was going to the gym as much as possible, though. I sat on an exercise bike next to a large, muscular young man who was watching the same TV screen as me. He was trying not to cry.
