It's closing in on Mid-October, and I'm still picking peppers out of my garden!

These, today, and if the weather cooperates, there are about half a dozen more that could benefit from a few more days. But if necessary, I'll be picking, chopping and freezing them.

2. It is cool and cloudy, so I've decided to make some Goulash, today

Goulash with lots of peppers!

3. My neighbor planted many things including tomatoes that are still producing

My latest tomato ever was Oct. first one year and it was a shriveled up little gnarly thing. He just let me pick what I wanted and I picked almost 2 dozen beauties.

This is Iowa which is normally pretty nippy by now and a couple of frosts into the season.

4. I've had tons of banana peppers this year

And the bushes are still loaded. I'm just throwing them in the freezer. Also tons of tomatoes going to waste unless I throw them to the chickens.

I just picked my last watermelons though. VERY prolific this summer, and I've lived on them, as well as, giving a bunch away.
