(4,558 posts)The steering wheel has the BMW emblem.
Almost all (possibly all) of the luxury brands have made remote start standard for several years now, and optional for somewhere around a decade. Even most economy brands now offer it as at least part of an option package.
Most dogs LOVE going on car rides. Most places don't appreciate or even allow dogs inside.
For my own 4-legged kids, this feature on my own car allows me to take them on more car rides to places than I would have before this technology. Although I still limit those trips to ones where they'll be in the car for only a short period of time with the car running.

(4,558 posts)The video was about the pup giving her attitude when she returned to the car. The video didn't give enough information on if she'd turned it off and left the pup in, or used a fairly common feature of remote start to keep the AC going for the pup.
If she turned the car off, and left her dog in the car.. even if the windows were cracked, she's completely in the wrong. In that regard, we totally agree.
I bring this up because I did deal with a well-meaning idiot at the grocery store on this very issue. The temperature in the car was at a temperature regulated at 68 degrees with a very good AC running, and 2 very happy and comfortable rescue dogs inside.

(32,620 posts)Owner should get the dog checked out by a vet.
Dogs don't usually pout like this, once the owner returns to the car.
This isn't normal dog behavior.
Just sayin'

(30,730 posts)who pouted when we left her. She would not look at us. She was alone very seldom. There was usually an adult and several children in the house. She played in the fenced yard with the kids and did not stray. At first, we left her outside in the fenced yard with her dog house. After we learned she could be trusted in the house for a few hours, we left her inside.
The pouting was funny, but understandable. She loved car rides, too, and felt so left out!

This isn't him; but it's just like him, and the way he got when he knew he was staying behind (and he knew - no need to tell him):
"Don't talk to me.......Okay, I'll take a scratch behind the ears though."
