The radical right wingers over the top now.

For a couple years now I've been placing progressive viewpoint on one of the RW stealth sites called SodaHead. The rhetoric there has very nearly degenerated into more and more Obama-hate, angry discourse festering into what I read today. There are RW'ers now eluding to suggestions of armed revolution due to totally wacked out ideas they've convinced themselves of. Some have come very, very close to making direct threats on the life and health of our commander in chief!!!
When I gain full internet again I'll post links. They've truly gone nuts in there and it bears watching, fellow DU'ers. For now I'll just snap out this link:
www.sodahead.com
'Cause it won't take anyone long to find the crazy stuff they're posting there!

...a liberal friend of mine invited me there, she seemed to enjoy it there. After a few months I began to see that the majority of users were just plain nuts!! I argued with them for awhile until I realized it was a huge waste of time to keep arguing with them!

I've seen a couple young people note the hateful and shaky factual basis of what their parents have been telling them all along after just keeping a cool head, explain rationally amongst the dipshits who are just throwing up the same worn out memes.
The young folks get it. There are numerous young folks on there. There is also a large international user base on there that several of the progressives have to assure them that it's a RW site and not representative of the U.S..

I know that they are out there, and I have seen to hatred in person, in emails, and on Facebook. But keeping an eye of people like this is, to me, a waste of time. They are all hot air and have lots of courage when they are posting anonymously, but they are not going to have an armed revolution. There may be one or two who might actually try, but that is like trying to find a serial killer in a city the size of New York by watching every person who buys a kitchen knife. I won't be watching.

when they are on those sites. I just didn't realize that there were many people besides the echo chamber of birthers and teabaggers. I have done the same thing you are doing there on more mundane sites like the news sites, because I also know that many people are watching what is said. Some don't know any of the facts and want to know more. Some get turned off by the venom that the wingers are throwing when people are being rational. And some just need to know that there are other people who do not think that way.

Good for you.

By the way, I would be those kids parent or grandparent....and I am not spewing the hate. I also know a lot of younger people who are wingnuts. So you just never know who is telling them what.
