Things that give you the warm fuzzies.

#Ukraine #Nazi #Bandera One of the "easter Marches" in #Kiev this weekend

To celebrate afterwards they gave visiting Italian neonazis a tour of the Communist Party HQs they trashed.

Things are shaping up. Even Tymoshenko has her own branch of Pravy Sektor now. Its name is the "Yulia Sektor"

And in sad news, the young protester who tried to change the Ukranian flag on an govt building to a Donetsk flag in Gorlovka a few days ago and was thrown off the roof by the Police Chief just died. Video of that event

And that cute little journalist Irma Krat who's being detained in Donetsk right now? The one who was listed in Maidan's website under Pravy Sektor's before the scrubbed it after her detainment? Here she is... This is the photo from her Facebook account, an account that was conveniently, magically deactivated right after her detainment (https://uk-ua.facebook.com/irmakrats+&cd=6&hl=de&ct=clnk&gl=uk" target="_blank">Google Cache doesn't forget)

They found her right after Easter Sunday's Pravy Sector attack on the checkpoint that killed innocent unarmed residents. She had just coincidentally arrived minus camera, computer or any other press equipment with a way out-of-date press card. And all this after Pravy Sector told OSCE that they just sent 100 Pravy Sektor paramilitaries to the Dobletsk area.

The Lviv Team was told by Right Sector activists that they had begun recruiting for their paramilitary structure on 14 April. They said that approximately 100 paramilitaries had already been deployed to Donetsk region and were being trained in the eastern part of the country. One of the paramilitaries seen in Lviv was wearing a new military uniform, including a flak jacket, but carried no weapons.

Things that give you the warm fuzzies that the Western Press is deliberately hiding. They're determined to get their war on.

"Indeed, in my four-plus decades in journalism, I have never seen a more thoroughly biased and misleading performance by the major U.S. news media. Even during the days of Ronald Reagan – when much of the government’s modern propaganda structure was created – there was more independence in major news outlets. There were media stampedes off the reality cliff during George H.W. Bush’s Persian Gulf War and George W. Bush’s Iraq War, both of which were marked by demonstrably false claims that were readily swallowed by the big U.S. news outlets.

But there is something utterly Orwellian in the current coverage of the Ukraine crisis, including accusing others of “propaganda” when their accounts – though surely not perfect – are much more honest and more accurate than what the U.S. press corps has been producing.

There’s also the added risk that this latest failure by the U.S. press corps is occurring on the border of Russia, a nuclear-armed state that – along with the United States – could exterminate all life on the planet. The biased U.S. news coverage is now feeding into political demands to send U.S. military aid to Ukraine’s coup regime.

The casualness of this propaganda – as it spreads across the U.S. media spectrum from Fox News to MSNBC, from the Washington Post to the New York Times – is not just wretched journalism but it is reckless malfeasance jeopardizing the lives of many Ukrainians and the future of the planet."

The Police Chief was clearly trying to pull the protestor further onto the roof. To say he pushed anyone off the roof is a deliberate lie. Watch it for yourself since you posted the link.

2. Nice try focusing on just 1 point but no, He was pushed and the crowd beat the police chief for it

Sorry. From everything I watched and followed, he was pushed and the crowd beat the police chief, and his deputy Pristupa, for it afterwards and would have killed them both if cooler heads hadn't prevailed and convinced the crowd to let him get to the hospital too.

The police was so horrified that right afterwards they switched to the protesters' side and put on St. George pro-Russia ribbons. The whole thing was streamed live right here on http://www.ustream.tv/recorded/46146209 for anyone interested enough to watch events in real time instead of waiting for the Western swill. I watched the screams of disbelief and horror that anyone could push a someone off the roof. He didn't just "fall", the first guy who went after him, the chief himself, pushed him off according to all the eyewitnesses. At the time they thought he only had a broken arm, it turned out later that he had a fractured skull too.

There are plenty of Eastern Ukrainian links about this but I have a hunch you probably wouldn't believe them making the effort of translating them worthless. You can believe whatever you want, I've long given up trying to convince anyone of anything because it's too time-consuming with how cleverly our media has discredited any media source that inconveniences the official line.

Troops holding the HQ barricaded in as a crowd of several hundred people gathered outside, according to footage from the scene. At one point they opened fire and used stun grenades.

Chanting “Police with people”, they tore down the Ukrainian flag and tried to raise a Russian flag on the entrance to the building. The person trying to set the flag atop the entrance roof was pushed down and broke his arm. The flag was taken down right after it was raised.

The officer, who reportedly pushed the activist, sustained a head injury in a scuffle inside the building and was taken to hospital.

...

On Monday evening, acting Minister of Internal Affairs posted on his Facebook page that Gorlovka’s police chief Andrey Krishchenkowas was severely beaten as he tore down the Russian flag raised by the protesters. He clarified that police chief was the one who pushed down the protester as he was setting the flag atop of the entrance, as the video above shows.

We will note that the chief of militia of Gorlovka Andrey Krishchenko during storm of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs dumped from a roof one of separatists who tried to set a flag of Russia. Also we will note that that according to the petition of the acting as Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov, Krishchenko will be awarded the order «For courage».

The chief of militia of Gorlovka of Donetsk region Andrey Krishchenko during storm of management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs dumped from a roof of one of separatists who tried to set a flag of Russia.

Video of incident were placed on YouTube hosting by the user Alexey Petrov.

Storm of management of militia happened on Monday, April 14. One of the pro-Russian protesters got on a peak of the building and tried to establish a tricolor instead of national flag of Ukraine.

Andrey Krishchenko came to a roof and dumped from there the separatist, having removed a flag of Russia.

10. I was focusing on that one point, as it was the only one that struck me as completely wrong.

There's a strong difference from the written posts, and the actual live footage we see. We can see the chief pulling the protestor, albeit it a bit too roughly for my tastes then it appears the protestor lost whatever footing he had and slipped. The chief can be seen staggering back a step as the protestor falls, demonstrating the backward momentum he had.

Look, I personally identify as a socialist. I'm a firm believer that since civilization is maintained by a collective effort, then it is only fitting that the means of production are owned by the collective. Your could hardly give us a better view of the incident as presented in the fist video, and we can see the chief walking backwards as he pulls the protestor. That is approximately at the 1 minute and 25 second mark. LOOK FOR YOUR SELF.

I'm not trying to discredit any one news source, but there is clearly something wrong with the story the witnesses are telling. Watch your first video, look at the 1:25 mark. Tell me you don't see the Chief walking backwards as he pulls the protestor. This was a terrible accident, not murder.

12. I don't see it

I watched it live as well as the reactions from the crowd as it happened. And not just me but everyone who followed it live, well every Leftist at least, has been trying in vain to correct the West's misleading reports on the incident, if they even mention it at all.

I don't see it. Sorry. I see a guy trying to cling on, the police chief who was chasing him then rushing him and he was in my most charitable interpretation pulled (that's the backwards part you're talking about) to break his grip and then *let go*. No offense but I find your idea that police chief serving the state was trying to save a revolutionary who dared change his sacred flag is kinda cute. Those guys would slit your throat for putting the wrong decal on your car let alone climbing on *their* building to change the flag.

I'll just agree not to agree.

I fully understand and appreciate that this is a serious topic of discussion, including the fact some DUers even have family in Ukraine right now. The climate of unrest in Ukraine is very real and very dangerous for socialists and other left wing people. This particular incident with the protestor and the police chief however doesn't appear as anything but a terrible accident to me.

Awful convenient that as soon as one war winds down our MIC has found a brand new cause du jour. When our country starts to care about the community only a few miles from the capitol building then, maybe, I'll start to believe we are really concerned about communities on the other side of the planet.

6. It really is! A VICE reporter asked the self defense forces if he could film inside their barricades

Watching how the propaganda machine kicked into gear within seconds was something to behold. The reporter, Simon Ostrovsky was cautioned by another reporter that trying to film inside the barricades maybe wasn't the best idea.

GrahamWPhillips ‏@GrahamWP_UK 1h

1/3 Re: @SimonOstrovsky - I got a call last night from a self-defence I have got to know, asking if Simon and @freddiepaxton were ok...

2/3 ...to be admitted to barricades in #Sloviansk. I told self-def that they were ok, good guys. Then sent messages to them advising caution

Within seconds, I kid you not, Murdoch's operation had a statement up about working with the state Dept to secure the safety blah blah and the proUSA twitter propaganda kicked into high gear regardless of what anyone said.

When I spoke with Self-def, 23:08 @SimonOstrovsky and @freddiepaxton were not in captivity, they were asking to film inside barricade area.

The "abduction" was all over US news sites within minutes as if anti-EUSA forces had swooped out of nowhere, for no reason, and dragged him off. Not even the Ukrainians went that far

Ukraine Reporter ‏@StateOfUkraine

#Sloviansk People's Mayor: @SimonOstrovsky parents called and were assured that their son is OK. He is now with us working on new material

https://twitter.com/StateOfUkraine/status/458643515636215808

It's Latin America all over, with the same methods and the same people doing the attacking and water-carrying.

Examples:

Daily Kos: BREAKING:Vice News' Simon Ostrovsky Abducted in Eastern Ukraine

Huffington Post: Vice Reporter Simon Ostrovsky Being Held In Eastern Ukraine

How many times can they get away with the same script?

And to really cheer things up, this JUST in, Putsch President that no one voted for Turchynov orders restart of anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine

regarding the opposition of this behavior. Here is the KKE's statement on the happenings in Ukraine:

Joint Statement of Communist and Workers’ Parties on the recent developments in Ukraine (Proposed by the KKE and DKP)

Statement on the reactionary developments in Ukraine

The recent dramatic developments in Ukraine do not constitute the “victory of democracy” by the alleged “revolutionaries”, as it is being described by the mass media of the USA and the EU, but is a dangerous development, above all for the people of Ukraine themselves.

Reactionary political forces, ideological descendents of the Nazis, have risen to the political “surface” with the assistance of the EU and the USA. These are forces which apart from destroying the offices of their opponents, are planning political persecutions, and the banning of parties, above all against the communists, and even racist legislation at the expense of the Russian-speaking population, like what has been in force for the last 20 years in the countries of the “European” Baltic, with the blatant political support of the EU.

The communist and workers’ parties that sign this Joint Statement:

Express our solidarity and support with the communists of Ukraine, above all with those who in many instances went on to the streets in order to defend the monuments of Lenin and the other Soviet and ant-fascist monuments, which found themselves “targeted” by the ideological “cleansing” of history being attempted by the nationalist-fascist armed groups

Denounce the USA and the EU regarding their blatant involvement in the internal affairs of Ukraine, regarding the direct support they provided and are providing to the armed fascist groups, supporting historical revanchism against the outcome of the 2nd World War, transforming anti-communism into their official policy, as well as beautifying the fascist groups, their criminal ideology and activity, promoting the division of the people of Ukraine with planned persecutions at the expense of the Russian-speaking of Ukraine.

Highlight that the positions of the opportunist forces are dangerous, which spread illusions that there could exist another “better EU’, “another better association agreement of the EU with Ukraine”. The EU, like every capitalist inter-state union, is a predatory alliance which has a deeply reactionary character can not become pro-people, and acts and will continue to act against the workers’ people’s rights and the peoples.

Note that the developments in Ukraine are connected to the intervention of the EU and the USA, are the results of the fierce competition of these powers with Russia for the control of markets, raw material and the country’s transport networks. However the people of Ukraine, as all the other peoples of Europe have no interests in siding with the one or the other imperialist, or the one or the other predatory alliance.

The interests of the working class and popular strata of Ukraine mean that they must prevent themselves from being “trapped” in nationalist, divisive dilemmas, on the basis of ethnic, linguistic, religious particularities and to prioritize their common class interests, to chart their path of class struggle, for their rights and socialism. Socialism remains as timely and necessary as ever. This is the perspective against every capitalist inter-state union, in order to pave the way for an economy and society that will not operate on the basis of profit, but on the basis of the needs of the workers.
