people of Ukraine is that their country has long been considered the "bread basket" of Europe. Resources, ports ... it is no wonder the capitalists are all salivating - whether they speak English or Russian. While I view Putin as a thug I think it's just as likely that he is being called in to help by eastern Ukrainians with what they view as aggression from the west. It is a sad state of affairs all around.

Great article.

are the ones screwed seven ways to Sunday. And of course, this is being portrayed in BOTH MSMs, Russian and Western, as a conflict between superpowers, a sort of Cold War Redux. Neither one is allowing ANY other narrative to be reported.

We can only hope that Barotba gains some traction in the east and that spreads to the western sectors. That would be the only hope that I see and it's a dim one. The one saving grace in a situation like that is that IF this situation actually DID occur, both imperialist powers might be constrained from intervening because of the other one. Which would allow the Ukrainian people, especially the workers, to determine their own future without interference.

Oh yeah, check out the latest statement from Worker's Power-GB on the massacre in Odessa. Right Sector fascist thugs being used by the unelected "interim" government to force it's will on the city.
