Golden Gate Bridge Bay Area buses are running normally today after a tentative labor agreement averted a strike. The agreement between the Golden Gate Bridge Labor Coalition and the bridge district came Thursday afternoon. A one-day strike had been planned if no agreement was reached. No details about the greement were released pending a vote by the membership on whether to accept it or not. Golden Gate Bridge Labor Coalition spokesperson Alex Tonnison says the agreement is worth putting to a vote by the several unions representing approximately 450 workers. If even one union rejects it, the parties would have to return to the bargaining table.
