Poshmark's cushy deal with the post office

As a long-time eBay seller, I thought I was an expert on all things shipping. So I was concerned when my teenaged granddaughter started selling clothes on Poshmark and said she never weighed a package or worried about what box to use. All things get shipped Priority at a cost to the buyer of $7.45. Small, medium, large flat-rate boxes... $7.45.

It finally bothered me so much, I looked it up. Sure enough, Poshmark items ship for $7.45. Below is the (hard to read) explanation I found.

I wonder... Do lots of companies have this, and why doesn't eBay?

3. The fixed rates are normally different for different sized boxes, though.

That's what is different with Poshmark. Even a large flat-rate box ships for $7.45.

(Normal costs are $8.45, $15.50, and $21.90 for flat-rate boxes)

chunk of change, but it was many, many moons ago before they had an option to buy postage on the site. I'm wondering if that feature of buying postage on ebay is easy to use (technophobe here) and if I will need to invest in a digital scale that will accommodate heavier items. I still have my old scale (not digital) and can get a fairly accurate weight and a small scale for weighing gold and silver that is digital. Thanks.
