Fire In The Hole

Just completed today for entrance into a local exhibition. FIRE IN THE HOLE acrylic on canvas. The voter button on the hat is a vintage lenticular that changes from Democrat to Republican when you shift your vantage point. I am really proud of this, and hope you like it.

simple but also wonderfully detailed.
i especially love the flames licking up. not quite obliterating it all, making for a very pregnant moment.
color seems just spot on. very bold those bits of yellow flame, but quietly bold. sneakily bold. creeping along. creeping upward.
