Sony Develops Edward Snowden Movie With James Bond Producers

A movie about controversial NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden is officially in the works. Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli, who are known for producing James Bond films like "Skyfall" and "Quantum of Solace", are on board to produce the true-story film for Sony.

"No Place to Hide" chronicles Greenwald's contact with Snowden, an ex-National Security Agency contractor, who claimed to have astonishing evidence of pervasive government spying. The book tells the consequences of Snowden's actions and the controversies that follow.

Greenwald earned a Pulitzer Prize earlier this year for his efforts with Snowden to expose NSA. He said of the movie deal, "Growing up, I was heavily influenced by political films, and am excited about the opportunity to be part of a political film that will resonate with today's moviegoers."
