TCM Schedule for Thursday, January 3, 2013 -- What's On Tonight -- Shirley Temple

Most of the daylight hours feature Star of the Month Loretta Young. But we are also celebrating Marion Davies, born Marion Cecilea Douras on January 3, 1897, in Brooklyn, New York, one of the great comedic actresses of the silent era and into the 30's. Sadly, today she is best remembered as the longtime mistress of William Randolph Hearst, but she was a fine actress and today's films prove it. We're also briefly celebrating Zasu Pitts, born Eliza Susan Pitts on January 3, 1894 in Parsons, Kansas, who built her career as a scene-stealing, fluttery-fingered, quavery-voiced comedienne. And speaking of scene-stealing, in prime time, TCM is featuring the films of Shirley Temple. Enjoy!
