TCM Schedule for Thursday, August 15, through Saturday, August 17

I won't be able to post this week's schedule. I'm in the hospital, dealing with some recurring health issues, and without my laptop.

But this weekend has a nice selection of stars. Thursday's star is Rod Steiger. Never a pretty face, but always a great actor. The first prime time film is In The Heart Of The Night. Steiger and Sidney Poitier, going toe to toe. Awesome!

Friday features Irene Dunne. She isn't everyone's chip of tea, as she ended up in some melodrama and saccharin rules. But Dunne had great comic timing, and The Awful Truth, with Cary Grant, just crackles with humor. It's also the first prime time film of the day.

Saturday's star is Errol Flynn. 'Nuf said! The day is full of his buckle swashing all over. I hope I'm home to catch a few of them!

Not having cable TV when I was in the hospital made me crave my shows. It was like going through withdrawal.
