Mozart Horn Concertos - Best interpretation?

Dennis Brain?

Barry Tuckwell?


Both extraordinary, but is one better than the other.

Discuss.

I have my own opinion, but I'll save that for later.

but I'm partial to the Marriner/Damm version of those I have heard

but I'm partial because I worked with him.

He was the music director of an orchestra I played in a number of years ago. He put down the baton a couple of times, and conducted from the soloist's spot. What a pleasure to play chamber music with him!
