A while ago did a "Most underrated Guitarist still alive" thread

Dave Rawlings came up a couple times.

I admitted that I was completely ignorant of his work, and was told to check out the stuff with Gillian Welch.

See, THIS is why I do those type of OPs.

Thanks for the tip. Stay with this vid long enough to listen to them morph "Method Actor" into "Cortez The Killer"

They don't do a ton of touring outside of the SE festival circuit, but they usually do a couple of short tours every year. It's well worth seeing them if you get a chance.

Here's one of my favorites of his originals "Ruby," played in a cave.
