After 'Here Comes a Regular' by The Replacements, and 'Knockin' On Heavens Door' (which are actually basically the same song, lol) ... And Mother is not TOO different ... lol ...

I mean, I love so much Floyd, but this is one of the subtle genius things ...

The two Gilmour sections, i.e. the ones that each start out with 'Hush Now Baby Baby' ... actually have seem to have different timings.

The first section of his vocals, the timing matches perfect with what Roger was singing earlier, but the 2nd time Dave sings what SOUNDS LIKE an equivalent passage, the timing is actually subtly different ... as a total novice at the time I was trying to learn to play it, I was so befuddled trying to get the 2nd Gilmour verse to 'sound right' lol ... I don't know if the beat is actually on a different timing, but the way the vocals interact with the rhythm is definitely different, and you don't really notice it when you're just listening, but if you try to play it the exact same way ... it doesn't quite work.

It is different. Almost like the first one starts on the 2 and the second starts on the 1. I know that's not right, but that's the feel if you gets my meaning.

There's this subtle delay with when he starts each line in the second passage that's not there in the first (or maybe its the other way round) ... messed me up for the longest time ...

Another fave of mine to sing and play on The Wall is The Thin Ice ... which is one I've never heard anyone (ya know, aside from me and The Floyd themselves) ever sing or play ... granted it's short, and pretty simple, but the vocals are powerful, with great Gilmour/Waters sections to it ... and I love the lyrics ...
