Ok, I admit I'm cheating a little - 20 some years ago I bought James Brown's Funky People LPs 1,2 and 3.

So I know a bunch names that I can just punch into youtube and then select deep album tracks.

Like Bobby here.

His one big hit was "I know you got soul" and that was the track on Funky people as well. But he has a few other tunes that are straight gold
