(38,526 posts)I met him a couple of times. He's a very nice man.
The first time I met him was at a record signing. There was a raffle for front-row seats to the next evening's concert. I won!
But when I went to get my record signed, neither he or Steve Howe would shake anyone's hand. I guess because they need their hands for their profession, they just didn't want people touching them.
Still nice guys though.

(14,164 posts)Sad though that the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame only inducted them a couple of years ago. After Chris had passed away. Apparently he was the most vocal in the band of wanting to be inducted. It was a crime how long it took. Even Geddy Lee of Rush who MCed their induction started off with "And we thought we had to wait a long time!"
Me and my friends used to air guitar their songs. My cousin always had to have Steve Howe, but I was happy with Squire and his interesting off beat bass arrangements to follow.
