3. Horslips was an Irish rock band that mixed a lot of Celtic music in their songs

Ya never knew when somebody would break out a penny whistle or a set of Irish pipes and completely change the song round.

They also loved weird James Joyce inspired costumes.... Fun band to chase across YouTube.

Here they are in full on Celt melody + Rock mode - Slán Le Maigh

5. Twice in a week there's been a reference to Horslips on DU. Cool. That time of year perhaps?

Played here as a slow reel, this tune is also known as "The Smoky House" and "Colonel McBain's" and likely some other names.

Thanks Sarge

The several different settings of "Toss the Feathers" are reels.

That's the cool thing about ITM - one tune might have several different names and one name might be used for several different tunes.

Here's a setting of the multi-part King of the Pipers:

Just noodling around the webs...

She's at a silver league Volleyball tournament in South County right now, if she knew I got done this quick the list would definitely grow...

Any way - More Horslips - Mostly acoustic this time.
