Pretty Flamingo

Springsteen Live (no year)

A song I’ve always felt is tinged with sadness and loss, notwithstanding the lyrics. For me it’s the loss simpler times.

Edited: The Springstein version is nice. But the boys stole my heart a long, long time ago.

It’s real good. Upbeat, and better than the original by Manfred Mann. I still prefer the melancholy of Springsteen’s. Funny. I deal with the sadness of these days by topping up on more sadness. Back in the day I’d be going for Metal.
