1. An old schoolmate of mine recently discovered them, and they just knocked him out.

He's a fine blues guitarist who makes his home in Milwaukee these days. But he often returns to our Minnesota hometown, and when he does, he performs with a handful of us hometown boys who play out a bit.

When he discovered Fanny a couple of months ago, he was bowled over by their musicianship. He had to have all of their records, and couldn't find them anywhere. He was eventually able to make online contact with Alice de Buhr, the drummer, who was able to sell him all four of their CDs personally.

Now we're working up "Ain't That Peculiar" for him so we can play it with him next time he comes to town. He's a mighty fine slide player himself, and he thinks June Millington's just awesome.
