Happy Birthday to St Louis' adopted son Anthony Gomes.

My wife and I have seen him more than a dozen times in the last 6 or 7 years - Because he puts on a reliably good show and since he lives in St Louis he plays a bunch of gigs here.

He has a Master's in Music Theory BTW. He sometimes has bound copies of his master's thesis on the merch table with the
t-shirts and CDs.

I've sen him live a few times. Very good blues-rock. Did not know he was based in St. Louis. Midnight Writer May 2020 #3

And he just signed a deal with BFD, a division of SME (Sony Music Entertainment)

So his back catalog should be available on line soon and his new record will obviously be available too

He is Quebecois by birth, and he's pretty well known in French speaking areas of Europe

he's developed and matured in his art. enjoyed (and appreciated) him more the last time I saw him than I did the first.

(largely the same impression, although they're quite different guys, of Chris Duarte)
