Once he & Edgar Winter were on stage together, opening a show for the Marshall Tucker Band in St. Louis. It was kind of strange at first because they did an Edgar song that Leon sang & then a Leon song that Edgar sang.
I also got to see the "Wedding" tour where he & Mary had interlocked black & white baby grand pianos, singing to each other.
And I saw him later, when he was pretty old, in a small club up really close.

What a musician. I did not get to see him until recently (not real recent of course) when he toured with Elton John. That was something.
