(5,299 posts)...the literally thousands of songs that Hal Blaine played on, which I heard between the late 1950s to the early 70s - or so - and beyond a little too.
But I did not know at the time that most of the "Artists" were "fake" - with Hal and many other studio musicians, aka "The Wrecking Crew" - playing on all of the various records released by The Byrds, The Mamas & Papas, Paul Revere & The Raiders, The Fifth Dimension, Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Express, The Beach Boys, etc.
Turns out, that's the way it was-is-always has been done.
