Had a personal connection with the title song. At about the time it was released and geting air-play, I was dating a lovely lady who I really wanted to get serious with. But all I got from her was.....yes--Head Games. Told me she "wasn't ready to be tied down." Seven months later, she was inviting me to her wedding--to another guy. My suspicion was that her mother had told her I wasn't rich enough for her. Seven years later, after she divorced the other guy, she was calling me back. I didn't go.
