Skittles trivia: as a kid I used to ride the doubledeckers with my grandparents in England......with grandma it was always downstairs - she said all the "bloody riffraff" were upstairs - which is precisely why I wanted to go upstairs! My grandfather went upstairs so he could have a smoke so I would go with him - I think of him whenever I hear "found my way upstairs and had a smoke" 
grandma would have called you "riffraff"
