1. When I was in high school our band played Disco Inferno.

The assistant drum major directed us at pep rallies and football games. There is a humorous story behind the song though. The father of the assistant drum major was the junior high principal and he was a short guy with a nasally voice so the students gave him the nickname of "Pato" which is Spanish for "duck." Therefore, the nickname that was assigned to the daughter was "Disco Duck."

However, if you think that nickname is cruel, then the nickname for her younger sister was even worse. The younger sister was somewhat aloof and snobbish so she got stuck with "Cold Duck."
