Elmore James:

Would have never learned of him, or at least not as soon had it not been for the throw away line in the orphanage talking about listening to "Elmore James records"....I thanked Dan Aykroyd to his face for that!!

My guitar player gave me a double album of his in digital form. I took it to work on my Sony discman (this is years ago). Every other song was Dust My Broom with different lyrics! I love Elmore, but after two hours of Dust My Broom, I was ready to kill myself!

Yeah you can't listen to ten different takes of the same song without going nuts...hell, I can't listen to all the cuts I have of Elvis singing "Hound Dog" for the same reason, but sadly, I'm a music nut and I want to hear what Presley heard in the studio and hear why he insisted on singing the song something like 29 times before he was satisfied and his voice was shot...lol.

Problem was, that was all the music I brought with me to work that day! I thought, "double album of Elmore? Shit, that's all I need baby!" It was an album and a half of Dust My Broom!
LOL!
