First place was a real landmark, a dance club named Lou Ann’s. That was late spring, I believe.
Then they came back and played McFarlin Auditorium, on the SMU campus. Around November.
Rod was in fine voice and Jeff was as always a guitar wizard.
Felt really fortunate to see one of the great bands of that era twice in six months.

I wish I could have seen them. Truth is one of the best Rod Stewart recordings ever! His voice was stellar on that record. Wish he would have stuck more to the blues. Not that I don't like his other stuff or love the faces. But his voice really shines on those blues tracks he did with Beck...

Years from now kids will be in awe of the music you’ve seen and music you’ve personally had a hand in.
But yeah, Truth to me is one of the great LPs of all time. Rod and Jeff complemented each other so well.
On “Let Me Love Tou,” my personal fave on the LP, their call outs and responses to each other were just magic.
