Do stores still sell cassette players?

I have scores of cassette tapes with good stuff still on them.

My player croaked. I don't want to throw away all that music.

Any suggestions?

At the very least you can very likely buy a new, near new, or usable walkman.

I hadn’t thought about that. I have oodles of CDs I can only play on my computer since my late husband’s stereo system died. There are so many things I can’t find on iTunes. Thanks!!!

3. It's probably easiest to find them from online stores

They’re in lower demand, so brick and mortar stores may no longer see them as worthy of shelf space. But if you Google on “cassette tape player,” I bet you will find plenty of options.

5. I transferred my cassettes to digital quite a few years ago. I found I had to clean the tape heads

very frequently because the tapes were so old. Good luck.

7. After you get a new player, digitize all the cassettes you have that you want to save...

They don't have infinite life.

but the quality won’t be nearly as good as what you have. My portable cassette player still works with headphones but time is against me.

If the quality of your tapes is good consider buying a player that will convert your tapes to digital. They have them for VHS tapes but I don’t if they have them for cassettes or if they have more than basic transfer features.

That I can connect to my PC so I can transfer the music and forget about the tape.

16. i got 2 boomboxes at estate sales + eventually killed those tape players. i think vermont country

store has them. 3rd boombox's tape player died. i have a library of tapes to play.
