They were playing some Octoberfest festival. I didn’t care about the rest of the bill so I planned on going late and getting tickets at the gate. Then a monster monsoon blew in and destroyed the stage. But they ended up moving the show to club that was first come first serve for anyone who already had tickets. I saw them in the 80s, but I really wanted to see the reunion.

Didn't have tix but was going to go down and try to get in. That storm was a humdinger.

I never got to see 'em. I did however see Bash and Pop when Friday Night is Killing Me came out, at a little club in SF. Think I paid $5. It was quite good. I love Tommy. And that album is amazing.

Also saw Alex Chilton at the Starry Plough in Berkeley around 1994.
