I saw one back asswards show. The Charlie Daniels Band opened for Willie Nelson. Not a bad pairing,

I took my 11 year old Monkee-fan little sister to that tour in Rochester New York.

but the CBD opened. I'm not sure they always went on first on that tour, but they did when I saw them. Both were great, but the CBD was a smokin' band, and Willie was pretty mellow of course. I would have put Willie on first.

Bob Seger opening for Peter Frampton in 1977. Seger was a fucking force of nature, and Frampton just seemed like he was going to float away.
