Once in the olden days, The Who played Madison. It coincided with Gerry Lewis Telethon. Both The Who and Gerry’s Kids were staying at the Sheraton.

About one in the morning a couple of drunk
friends went to sit in the audience for kicks.
About half hour in, The Who walked on came right up to our friends and said,
“Where’s the party man?”

Well I don’t know about some people, but back then we knew about a dozen people who would be up or get up to have The Who come over...

But of course, they said, “Uh, 🤷🏻‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️???

Sigh. They will never live that down.
