Golden Earring - Radar Love (live on Top of the Pops, September 1977)

Thought I'd already posted all the '70s video of Golden Earring performing their best-known hit for TV shows, but this one popped up last night, thanks to YouTube's algorithm. This was a rebroadcast on TotP2 of archival footage from TotP. Don't have the date of the TotP2 show but that retrospective show didn't begin until the mid-90s, and the comment that this was their only hit in thr UK had me doing some checking and discovering that 1982's "Twilight Zone," a huge hit in the US and other countries, apparently hadn't done very well in the UK.

But in 1977 the band had done a show at London's Rainbow Theatre that got rave reviews and a radio broadcast, and they'd just released that as a live double album before this TotP appearance.

Dutch guitarist Eelco Gelling was with them at this time. You can see other videos of him with the band then, from an August 1977 concert in Zwolle NL, here - https://democraticunderground.com/103478520 - and the videos in the OP and replies there include a 10-minute version of "Radar Love."

The clip below is cut short by the TotP2 announcer. I don't know how long the original TotP video was, haven't found it.
