massive joy erupts. If nothing else, please listen to the first 7-minutes and also perhaps the final 7-minutes to hear them noodling around.

(65,009 posts)The guy with the Tele seems to have a bend mechanism because I hear notes moving when his fingers didn't.
Also. I think I once heard him hit a doublet and only one string changed pitch.
Those benders are hard to use. Well, apparently not for him.

(14,490 posts)This is Tom Bukovac, guitarist, talking in the background and Gordon Mote, one of Nashville's top pianists who is blind. Gordon follows in the footsteps of Hargus "Pig" Robbins who was also blind but played piano on hundreds of hits for stars like Elvis, Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Kenny Rogers, Chet Atkins and many others.
Here, Tom and Gordon are just fooling around during a break in the session and it's all impromptu.
Even though a person might not love country music, surely most anyone would love this level of musical skill.
Enjoy!

(65,009 posts)He uses his left thumb far less than most piano players. I wonder if he uses that as an anchor point because he can't see.
I have NEVER played with my thumb against the edge of the key shelf lime that, but then I don't need to.
It's obviously on purpose because he brings it up to use it now & then, but right back it goes.
I've not seen anyone do that before.
