I went to see my friends' band play in the school at the same time they showed the film and I dosed. Once you see it while in that state of mind it is hard to watch it again without wishing for a repeat experience. Needless to say I watched it twice instead of spending the night trying to get people dancing. The same goes for 2001 A Space Odyssey.

I am a visual person and after seeing the films without the "special visual effects" I was disappointed. My original experiences were jaw dropping and spectacular.
