When Rhett Shull says he's never heard anyone play like this before...

If you don't have time for all this video now, watch Chicago-based session guitarist Nathaniel Murphy playing part of Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" from 12:13 to 14:25 on a rare acoustic 1965 Gibson Dove B-Bender.

The video description on YouTube doesn't link to Nathaniel's own YouTube channel (at least I didn't see a link there), but Rhett did pin a thank-you from him to the top of the comments, which provided the link:

And this is his Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/zeppelinbarnatra/?hl=en

Another video of Nathaniel playing that Gibson:

And if you just search for his name on YouTube, you'll find videos of him on other channels, especially from Chicago Music Exchange. They really love him.

any other video Rhett's posted except one posted two years ago.

This one was posted less than two months ago. August 27.

I didn't notice the number of views till just now. The video title was what caught my attention.

And Rhett wasn' t kidding with that title.

I hope the video going viral leads to much more success for Nathaniel.

I suspect that session work might be pretty lucrative these days. There's a lot of action in the Chicago area at any given time so I can imagine he has access to a lot of options. He's really good.
