1. Bob Weir - Outstanding vocals.

Around and Around - Phil Lesh, Bill Kreutzman, Bob Weir...well, they just know how to keep the rhythm....it's like Elvis and Buddy Holly and Johnny Cash all dropped at the same point in our musical history...this is what the end result would have been.

Yeah...this is Kreutzmann at his very best. 1973, folks...this is what a rhythm band was all about...I can say these guys were the gold standard, in my mind.

4. 4/2/73 Boston Garden - Big River

5. KnR...I saw the Dead in '73, Des Moines, Iowa...

...I agree they were at the height of their performance powers through this period of time.

I went to several Dead shows through the 70s, after that, not again.

I guess I moved on from the Dead because I went into punk rock, with my own punk band (and several others since - punk, psychedelic punk, alternative, experimental, and now indie/americana or whatever). We have a song called "Old MacDonald's Pharmacy" which is sorta Dead inspired.

I've heard nothing in the last 30 years that really impresses me...shit is all derivative. But you sound, oddly, different. Good for you. I need to some psychoactive vitamins and I'm sure I will like your sound even more. In the meantime.....keep playing awesomely!
